Collaboration With Smithsonian's Ocean Portal

The Census collaborated with the Smithsonian's Ocean Portal to create marine science content for public audiences.  The portal, a unique, interactive online experience that inspires awareness, understanding, and stewardship of the world’s Ocean, was developed by the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History and more than 20 collaborating organizations, including the Census of Marine Life. Visitors can read stories about ocean life and ecosystems, view photos and video galleries, and find resources for educators.
